Abstract
Polybenzimidazoles produced Сгот aromatic tetramines and bicarboxylic acids аге of excellent heat resistence, however, rigid and poorly solubIe polymers. Ву the application of monomers of chlorinated bicarboxylic acid and those of containing phthalide side-groups, polybenzimidazoles of improved characteristics have Ьееп prepared. The polyamidobenzimidazol copolymers prepared bу building in polyamide chain sections based оп hexamethylene-diamine, caprolactame, sebacic acid and isomeric phthalic acid аге well solubIe and heat resistent products. The solubility and thermal stability characteristics оf the modified polybenzimidazoles together with those of polyamidobenzimidazoles have bееп given.
